Beautiful Party...BUT....read on....

Hi All
Sorry it took so long to post after Meghan's Sweet 16 party..It was beautiful and had about 20 kids and her Dad and Debbie and her kids and Her older brother Russ came all the way from Jersey. We would have had more kids but because of the Snow that happened that night and the school also rescheduled one of there activities from the weekend before due to snow, But in total there was probably about 25 plus there and everyone dressed really nice..Well now for the bad NEWS...our digital camera was broken so we used the old 35m camera and even did a test roll of film and it came out really nice well Kris didn't realize that he didnt have the film in right and the rolls of film were blank when i got them back....I was Heartbroken.. the good news is that Howie's wife took tons of digital pics and she is going to get them to me so you all will have to wait to see them sorry...

Well we now have both girls Driving, Lillee got her license 2 weeks ago and Meghan got hers on Wednesday and bad enough we dont see her because of Cheerleading during the week now its impossible to keep her home lol...She is going to be putting some job applications in soon she really wants to work...

When i got my little part time job it was just supposed to be 15-20 hrs a week to get me out of the house WELL the last 2 weeks i have put in 64+hrs UGH...But hopefully after xmas it will go back down a bit...I LOVE working there and everyone is great..My boss is so nice...

Kris got a new job even closer then where he is at now he even has a title but dont ask me what it is because i couldnt tell you...lol...Kinda of a little cut in pay but they will be paying our health insurance so right there its worth it..

SORRY YOU ALL WONT GET XMAS CARDS FROM ME Yes i am taking heat for not making them but i really havent had time to even go in my craft room since i started working I promise that you all will get V-Day cards to make up for it...We have had about 20 inches of snow in December compared to last yr with only 8...Meghan every year wanted snow on her BD and this yr with her going for her drivers test she said a little prayer to my mom not to have snow and the night before we had a ice storm go figure.. Oh well enough said time to hit the couch i a EXHAUSTED.....Have a Great Holiday...will post pics when i get them

Busy,Busy

Hi All

Wow it's been busy around the Stomski House...I think i am finally done preparing for Meghan's Sweet 16 well about as ready as i can be. I have been working a zillion hrs the job when i was hired for it was supposed to be just a few hrs a week now that the xmas season is approaching it seems like my hrs grow more. Sorry i didn't get Thanksgiving cards out and i haven't even started on my xmas ones or done any shopping yet..thats right me who usually has it done in October only has 24 more days to get with the program I know what to get just have to find time. We are expecting our 1st big snow storm today lets just hope its out of its system by next saturday for Meghan's party.

Well Kris's contract with the company he is working for is up at the end of this month he has had 5 interviews with another company in the area so lets hope after that many with the same one they come back with a contract for him or other wise it's back to Michigan and being away from home yet again...

The kids are doing good Meghan is so excited she goes for her drivers test on the 12th. Tyler is doing really good no more stomach pains since they took his appendix..As for Sadie (the puppy) well lets just say she is training, she has discovered the woods around the house and being a beagle she always has her nose to the ground....Well off to get ready for work hopefully i dont get snowed in at work.. I hope i will at home have a great day

Almost Done

Hi All
Sorry its been a few since the last update but with work and trying to finish the finally touches for Meghan's party i havent had time to breathe lol I have been working on getting 100 favors finished and on this post you will see them..Inside the wrapper there is a kit kat bar and i crimped the ends to seal them then i punched thank you tags and mounted them then on the back i wrote up a little discription so for all of you back east i will be sending some to you all i just hope i have enough so far there are 60 invites out there not including the ones i sent to all of you..Meghan's gown is all done being taken in. I still have a few more things to get for the party but the stage is set..

I want to send congrats to my friend Kelly and her family she gave birth yesterday to a baby girl....Her husband new the sex of the baby and held out not telling anyone i said all along it was a girl...Her son (11) and her younger brother which she has custody of he is 11 also have been staying with us while she is in the hospital. so i have 3 11 yr old boys in this house lol...
I have been working tons of hours since i started at the mall and its only going to get worse as the holiday season kicks off..It seems like i am there more then here so I hate to say this but not Thanksgiving Cards this year..I am going to try to get moving on my xmas ones once Meg's party is over. I usually have my shopping done by this time also but not this yr...It gets harder as they get older...

Well off to get ready to take the boys to see the baby and then work have a great day all..

So Much to Do so Little Time

Oh why did i wait until the last month??? ugh i have so much to do for this party and have been planning it for the last yr so why did i wait so long to get things done?? Now i am stressing I went and got the rest of the balloon center pieces yesterday and odds and ends now i still have to finish the favors and get all the balloons,tableware, and things like that.. at least i got the DJ thing fixed.. I fired the dj that i booked back in April every time i called him to get a contract and give deposit he would never call me back, so finally last week i called the dj that did our vow renewal and thank god he was available for that day. After leaving tons of messages on the original dj's phone this last 2 weeks he finally called me back and told me not to worry he would be there..YEA Right.. I found out that he was booked for some one's wedding and canceled a week before so i am glad that i got a new one.. My plans to do a video screen of Meghan's pictures through out the yrs was tossed out the window because the dj doesn't have the screen to do it so i am going to make a picture board instead. Now Meghan wants me to get the 10 yrs of her school pictures out and put those on it also...More work for me on top of working a zillion hrs. But hey i love the challenge..

Tyler's soccer team went undefeated this season...He is done now until the spring..Meghan is done cheering for football they lost in the playoffs but now the fun begins she is cheering basketball and that's like 3 nights a week...She has 1 month until she can drive herself Yippie for her but sad for me.. My baby is growing up..Right now she has 2 possible job offers pending 1 at the vets office and the other where i work...It would be weekends right now at both places..She is going to need to work for her gas and insurance.. I was totally shocked when i heard how much insurance was it will be about 300.00 every six months. Not bad...way back when i lived in Jersey it was like 1200.00 a yr..She knows that we aren't going to hand it to her if she wants to drive she has to take responsibility also.. Oh well off to work on favors and get them out of the way.. Have a great day all

Busy, Busy

Hi All
Sorry its been a few since i updated last but I have been busy with work and Meghan's party stuff..Work is going good its so nice to get out of the house for a change and i dont mean running kids here and there.. We picked up Meghan's car the other night, It's Not Brand new but what 1st time driver needs a new car??? Tyler is healing well from his surgery and is back to normal he has his last soccer game today and they are still undefeted. Meghan's is cheering in another playoff football game. Most of you all should have her invites by now i just have a few more to get out there. I have been working on her favors when i have the time i still need to make about 50 more ugh...Sadie is finally house breaking she still has oops once in a while but thats to be expected.

I just want to send out a big CONGRATS to my friend Lori she was elected to be the City Clerk here in Janesville.. So Congrats Lori....and best of luck in your new job. she was chosen out of 5 others that were running for office.
other then that nothing new to report i just thought i would update...I will be posting the favors soon when i get time to do it so keep eyes on here.. Have a great day all

Sad News....

Sad News for our Family back East...Last week my Cousin Ricky passed away he was 19, Our hearts go out to my Aunt & Uncle and Cousins for there loss so this is one of the sympathy cards i made to send to them. They are all in my prayers. I wont be posting anything else in this section.

Finally Done.....

Hi All

I am finally done with Meghan's invites for her Sweet 16 party..As you all can see i have BLACKED OUT the info but i wanted to share them with you all.. I am now working on her Candy Bar favor's and let me tell you i need lots more of those compared to the amount of invites..I cant believe in about a month in half that my baby is going to be 16 and driving, where did the time go???

Tyler is doing better now that he has different meds.. The Dr sent him home with tylenol with codine and for 3 days after me calling he finally gave him something stronger..We had to drive all the way up to Madison to pick it up since they cant call in narcotic pain meds... Tyler is going to attempt to go back to school tomorrow..
I start my job on Tuesday i just cant wait to get out of the house for a few hrs a day...Oh well nothing else to report i will update as needed...

Bye Bye APPENDIX

Hi All...

Well Tyler's surgery went well, we will know in 2 weeks when the Dr. gets the pathology report back if his appendix was bad or not..He stayed over night at the hospital and i have to say the children's hospital was wonderful, brand new, the attention the nurses gave Tyler he probably wouldn't have gotten that at a regular one. The surgery it self took all of 20 minutes then we got to go to the recovery room with him. He isn't having much pain, But i do have to watch his blood pressure it was kind of high, The Dr. wasn't sure if it was from the surgery or not it did come down a bit yesterday before we left, So i will be taking it here..My EMT training is going to come in handy this many yrs later...Other then that nothing else is new...Meghan has 1 more regular season football game to cheer at and if they win on Thursday then its off to the playoffs Since we are still undefeated, Tyler's soccer team is still undefeated also they are in 1st place in there division and unfortunately he can't play this weekend and there are 2 games but he wants to go and sit with the team which is fine with me... I still have so much more stuff to get done for Meghan's party and now it seems like the time is just flying by so i better get my butt in gear ugh...I still have about 15 more invites to do and also working on the favors. i have to make extra of those in case ppl take more then 1, so i guess i am off to my craft room. Update.....Threats Made at our School

My 10/10 went great the girls really liked all the designs i had...There was a total of 14 that did come..On Sunday Poor Sadie presented with a bladder infection so i had to take her to the emergency vet, so any money that i made from 10/10 went to that so easy come easy go is the saying..

Tyler's surgery is still on for Monday, i think i am more nervous then he is. He is looking forward to staying in the hospital over night and since it's the children's hospital in Madison makes it even more fun.

Some of you might have heard about the shootings in Wisconsin the other day 1st let me tell you that it was no where near us. Now for something on that line around here. The other day a few towns over from us had threats for there homecoming events that someone was going to open fire on the school and i was sitting here thinking how close it was to us..Well yesterday a note got sent home from our HS and it seems that it wasn't meant for that town it was meant for our HS the same one Meghan goes to.. UGH...They did find the girl that posted it to her Myspace account..(another reason i don't use that blog site) They did say the Police and others talked to the girl and it was handled. It was just words they said..HMMMMM maybe she should be locked up. So the HS took proper precautions and the homecoming events are still happening...The school is giving us parents the option to keep our children home today and it wont be counted against them. Fast forward to Meghan's Cheer leading practice last night Since tonight is the big game and our team is undefeated. It's kinda the special night. well anyhow the COACH told the girls that they all better be in school or they cant CHEER..Now who is she to tell them they better come to school after a threat was made like that??? We are lucky if our school has 350 kids total in the whole school.I don't agree with her making the choice for me as a parent. and putting my kid in harms way.. Meghan begged me not to keep her home because the issue has been handled. And she doesn't want to be benched tonight..But....I have to take this serious and if she gets benched then i will go straight to the School Board about this issue. Security or not...I don't care if its a small stick town, its my child's life..ok enough of that. more fun news

I GOT A JOB...lol yes me...I was starting to go stir crazy its only part time i just happen to be in the mall yesterday getting my nails done and i was joking with the owner of the orange Julius as i do every time and this time she wasn't she handed me a application and interviewed me right on the spot lol..My hrs would be from 11-3 perfect for me and great for my STAMPING HABIT ..That's what it would be for...The other good thing is that i get a 20% mall discount for any store....Even better with a teenager that loves to shop...Meghan cant wait to turn 16 she has a definite job at the vet's office..On Saturday she is doing another Clinic Shadow with him for her Animal science class..UGH 2 more months and she will be driving. We are searching for a car for her nothing new for at least the 1st yr. that's the worst thing a parent can do. can you say repairs. OH well i have bored you all enough I will keep you ll updated on the school thing have a great day

I am so excited i just got word that there is going to be 14 girls coming here on Saturday for my 10 cards for 10.00...I am so pleased...But i need to start booking some workshops to switch from a hobby demo to a business demo..

Sadie is slowly learning the meaning of outside...but not soon enough lol.. She knows if she goes out then she gets treats and runs in and sits on the carpet by the sink...Meghan hurt her ankle again...So off to the foot DR. lets just hope no casts this yr. She will be devastated that she wouldnt be able to cheer...Kris is going for a job interview this week. He is keeping his options open.oh well enough thoughts for now.

OOPS I FORGOT Copy write

Good Morning..

I forgot to add to all the cards that i have posted the copy write for Stampin' Up so i have to say this Some images Stampin' Up 1990-2007 and i cant remember how to make the symbol so when i figure it out i will fix them. Ok now with that out of the way here is my post for the day...

I am so excited Trista (my upline) called me last night and told me that one of the girls in our stamp club is bringing 3 other ladies to my 10/10 so that brings the total of girls to 12 and my friend Janet who really doesn't stamp but does scrapping is coming also..So i wont have to sit there and show her what to do...So everyone that is coming knows how to stamp one way or another..I just hope that i cut enough for each card I planned on 20 ppl so if i get more i will have to scurry to cut that day but that would be wonderful...

Meghan's Cheer camp with the 5th graders went really well out of 12 girls on varsity she was the only one to show up and help the coach these kids are going to be cheering with varsity for the homecoming game on the 12th...I was able to set her drivers test up for the 12th of December she is really excited..I am scared lol. The invites for her party will be hitting your mailboxes in the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled for them...
Kris has a new interview set up for a company here in WI that wants him really bad.. So i will keep you all posted on that.. But other then that nothing new and exciting.... so off to work more on the invites they seem to be taking forever...Have a great day...

MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION

Hi All

I have a million dollar question....Am i wrong for posting a Blog for my friends & Family to see what has been going on in our world in Wisconsin??? Kris was just ripped a new one for me posting a blog...AM I 16???? I think not i am 42.....My blogs talk about my STAMPING and the goings on here...NOT Evil thoughts...from the dark side..AND IF YOUR READING THIS YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN...This is why i dont use my space....I dont understand what i am doing wrong with this...I guess maybe its time to create another name for blogging. So that i cant be compared to our 16 yr old kids....OK I AM DONE VENTING NOW...

I finally got all my 10/10's done and everything is ready for national card making day on saturday..So far i have 10 ppl coming Not bad...

Sadie is doing good she is learning slowly but she is still little...Tyler is finally going to have his appendix out after a year of the off and on pain every 2 months...He is doing really good with soccer..Meghan is doing good in school she is finally grasping algebra....She loves cheering this year better then poms.... Its funny i see so much of me in her when i was her age UGH.....lol... We still love having Kris home it was long over due..He is in Michigan this weekend with Tyler visiting his mom and getting her house ready for winter.. We still have to close the pool up.. but between soccer and work there hasnt been anytime..OH check this out Kris was told i should get a job...HMMMM step into my Daily shoes and then talk about that.. I would love nothing more then to get a night job but SINCE I DONT SLEEP It's really hard to keep my eyes open past 8:30 and since I wake up at 2:00 am for the day It's hard to function at times tried all sorts of sleep aids and nothing works but i dont have to justify that to anyone......But things are being said that shouldnt concern anyone but me and my family....

On that Note...I will be posting more pictures of sadie and all the cards i have made for the 10/10 and Meghan's Sweet 16 invite so you all can see then before they hit your mailboxes.....Have a great Day

Puppy World....

Hi All

Well we have been living in puppy world for almost a month now... Its been a challenge but she is good for the most part.. the house training has been the hardest but she does know what the word treat and eat are, I have even taught her to sit up and beg its the cutest thing...

We made it through the weekend of Soccer tournements and in Tylers division there were about 12 teams and his team came in 2nd not bad for a team that 1/2 the kids never played before....other then that nothing really new to report. I am finally done with all the planning and cutting and everything else that goes into my 10/10 now lets just hope i have a good turn out...I have to really kick it into high gear getting Meghan's Sweet 16 invites done so that i can send them out in the middle of October so they can all respond by Nov 20th...Well off to my craft room to work on them...Have a great day

Gotta Love puppyhood

Good Morning
Wow i forgot how hard the puppy stage was...outside every 1/2 hr or less for potty training...But she is a joy to have...

Tyler won his 1st soccer game he was so happy. he did really good considering he has never played before..Friday night was parents night at the Varsity football game so we were called onto the field and Our Varsity cheerleaders had a surprise for there parents it was a really cute picture of themselves....So far the kids are still liking school but it's o nly been a week.. I cant believe that i have to make Meghan's drivers test appt this week..My baby is going to be driving and turning 16 in less then 3 months.. Lots to do still for her Sweet 16 party..I have to get working on her invites and candy bar wrappers..

Our Taffie Girl....and Introducing Sadie Girl

I have been looking for a puppy to help ease the families pain and started looking but all were so expensive and our local shelters had only pit bulls and no way i was going to get one... I saw a add in the paper for Beagle puppies so i called and now we have Sadie.. She is 8 weeks old so i have my work cut out...She had 8 other siblings in her littler..She is one of the runts and just to cute.. So now we get to have the joys of puppy hood again. Well i do since the kids are back in school and kris is working...
I am posting a picture of each dog and the TY card i made for the vet for taking good care of Taffie and also i made the same card from Sadie to her family that i adopted her from with a picture of her inside..

Good Bye to Our Dog Taffie

Well yesterday was a very hard day for the Stomski household...Our dog Taffie(the litle cockapoo) has been acting funny the last 3 weeks i have had her to the vet and lots of blood work done and it really didnt show to much all the vital organs were functioning the way they should. it started off with her drinking lots of water and just being mopie. Then it moved on from there to not eating her dog food..(she was12) so i started feeding her people food cause i thought she was just getting spoiled from eating all that..fast forward to the last 3-4 days she would eat something and vomit, So yesterday i took her to the vet again, and this time they did a xray and i just knew it wasnt going to be good news.. the Dr comes in with a laptop and shows me the News i already figured. Taffie has Cancer...The first thing i asked him. "Is she in Pain" and he didnt hesitate on that answer.. The tumor wasnt the kind that could be operated on it was just under her spine pressing on her stomach and other organs so for a small dog thats a big one..I leave the Vet and call Kris on the way home He prepares the kids. I asked about how long she had and Dr Hicks couldnt give me a answer but i knew it was a matter of a few days they tumor was making her anemic her gums and inner ears werent pink anymore. I got home and we all of course were bawling our eyes out.Taking lots of pictures and i am sure that Maddison and Stoughton (the big dogs) knew something was wrong. I called the Vet back and we went back there. Poor Kris she was as we called her his Butt Warmer cause she was always laying right against him in bed on the couch So he took it hard...The vet gave her the 1st shot of morphine and when she was relaxed enough we were able to feel the tumor and Now we know it was the right choice it was big to the touch we were able to stay with her the whole time even after the 2nd shot was given. they gave us a baby blanket and i wrapped her up and of course lots of tears and she went peaceful...We choose to get her ashes back and i am going to put her on the same table as Mom's ashes. I had a 8x10 Picture that they took around easter at the groomer so i put that in a frame and her collars actually i just bought her a new one that day too She wore the same color for 10 yrs. and placed them on her pillow with the picture in front of the fire place so it looks like she is there propped on her pillow still..

Taffie was our 1st dog as a Family but i know my mom was waiting for her with open arms and ready to pull her beard..(we had her groomed as a poodle) So when her hair on her face got a little longer mom would say come here let me pull your beard..Well i have depressed you all enough thanks for listening... OK Lori here is your update sory i havent been keeping up with blog....

Meghan got her permit, Tyler started camp invention. Kris went for a interview in Rockford (still waiting to hear) He is heading to kentucky today for a meeting he isnt to happy about that .
I was able to scan a card in since my good camera is broken, so it doesnt look the greatest i used some of the NEW In Colors and new Brads. I have been busy with SU. I hosted my 1st WS here at my house on Saturday and for 4 ppl i think it went well ...4 hrs later there were 2 girls that were late so i went through it again(hey gave me practice) but i wont do that again if your late your late. I think Hubby was getting kinda mad because when all was said and done it was almost 6:20 and the party started at 2:30 but he will have to deal with it lol. The business web site will be up and running by July 1st. I know some of you have Expressed that you just love the idea that we are doing so hang tight it will be a good one...
Well off to vaccum the pool have a great day

I Did It !!

Good Morning All

Well i did it and got my Demo # from Stampin' Up !! Now all i need is my 1st Booking and customer So Come All you family and friends BOOK.....lol i know i cant get on a plane and Demo stuff for you but maybe i can work something out to do a book party and send you all the things to make with samples of it done already..Just a Thought..Well onto other things which isn't that much i just wanted to post a few cards i made the other day i finally had to scan them in cause something happened to my Very expensive digital camera..Ugh you pay 1500.00 for something and 5 yrs later you have to replace it..Next one isn't going to be that expensive it might have lasted longer..

Kris took Meghan Driving for the very 1st time on Sunday. I was scared cause she doesn't even get her permit until June but he said she did good for never being behind the wheel....Kris has been working really hard on the web page for the business.. He keeps changing it. its NE14Stamps.com but i have to keep hush hush until we unveil the products and stuff... Well off to my craft room to see what sets i have to pull and put in a separate area since the retired list is here i think out of my 30-40 sets 22 so far i counted are retired which means cant demo them well only until June 1 can they be sold...Have a Good Day .....
